Experts told Reuters reported that drinking a cup of coffee every day can reduce the risk ofliver cirrhosis due to alcohol consumption up to 22%.
This report was presented by Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program, Oakland,California where they have studied 125,580 patient data.
These data are supported by the hypothesis which says that the content of the coffee can protect against the occurrence of liver or cirrhosis, especially cirrhosis caused by alcohol.
Yet what is causing the protection of the liver is unknown, they said.
Coffee contains a collection of various biological active ingredients, the experts explained.Often also on the coffee added cream, milk and sugar or other substances that are likely to have high health effects.
Other experts say that the content of caffeine found in coffee that has a role as a protectivematerial to the liver, though the protective effect is not found in those who regularlyconsume tea.
If true protective effect against heart can be obtained from coffee, the risk of increased incidence of cirrhosis due to alcohol can be suppressed in an easy way. But till now still doa bigger study to find out what content has a protective effect and how the amount to beconsumed per day.
