Jon Bon Jovi on death hoax: Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey
The rocker posted the photo pictured above on hisband's official Facebook page, holding up a sign with the current date, time and joking that, "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey."
Earlier in the day, a blog called dailynewbloginternationalreported that Bon Jovi was deceased, claiming that he was found unconscious in a hotel room in Asbury Park, N.J. and had passed away at the Jersey Shore Medical Center of "cardiac arrest."
Fans on Twitter spread the "news" rapidly, sharing kind words for Bon Jovi and mourning his alleged death.According to Gossip Cop, Bon Jovi is set to perform at a benefit concert tonight in New Jersey.
The singer and his Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation recently opened a "pay-what-you-can" restaurant called The Soul Kitchen in New Jersey Bon Jovi, a New Jersey native, has built 260 homes for low-income residents through his Soul Foundation. In April, he also opened The Covenant House Rights of Passage homeless shelter in Philadelphia.
Bon Jovi is a longtime advocate for homeless causes and used to be an owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. The singer's band, Bon Jovi, recently completed a world tour.
Bon Jovi recently told the Associated Press that he is currently writing songs for his bands next album, which is slated for release in 2013. Bon Jovi rose to fame in the 1980s and is known for hits such as "Livin' on a Prayer," "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Always."
